Procedure: Gastric Sleeve
Before my surgery I hated leaving my house, I would look for excuses to avoid gatherings. I hated running into people I knew because I was embarrassed of myself. I would never take pictures and if I did, I would get mad if anyone posted them on social media.I had considered the surgery for over 3 years but I was scared of complications! I would also hear people say that weight loss surgery is the easy way out and let that get in my head. After I was told I was getting borderline diabetic…I decided to go ahead with it. I knew I wanted to be in good health for my husband and kids and wanted to live long to see them grow their own families.This team is amazing! From my first consultation to my 6 month follow up! They are the most caring and understanding team! Dr. Stowers is so patient and understanding and I couldn’t have picked a better doctor to take me on this journey! I now have SO MUCH energy! I walk a lot and work out with my sons! I spend more time with them now because we do more than just sitting on the couch watching TV. I now also enjoy going to gatherings with family and friends and taking lots of pictures! I am 6 months post-op and I still have some ways to go…I’m not at my goal yet, but I feel like a winner already!
