My weight story started early on as a child. I was always the heaviest one in the group and my peers were the harshest. When I became an adult and had a child of my own the weight continued to increase. I was not able to keep up with her and do the fun mom things she always wanted.
I was considering weight loss surgery for a few years before I made the jump. It took leaving my husband at the time and having the support of my family to finally go for it.
The Bariatric team is hands down the best team in the world. They were with me every step of the way. They made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision. If there was a question or concern I had they were always there to listen. I was so impressed that I referred a close family friend to them and she completed her surgery 4 months after me.
I am 6 months within my journey and I am loving life. I am able to run around with my daughter and do the fun things I have only dreamed of doing.
