BioTe Hormone Replacement Therapy

At The Bariatric Experts™, our mission is to inspire our patients to live their healthiest, happiest lives. We offer bioidentical hormone replacement therapy with Biote pellets to help our patients in the Frisco and DFW areas overcome frustrating symptoms caused by hormone imbalances.

BHRT can be used to address a range of symptoms, including fatigue, mood swings, weight gain, and decreased sexual function. The therapy aims to restore hormonal balance, thereby improving overall quality of life.

What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is a form of therapy used to combat the symptoms and health issues associated with hormonal imbalances or declines in hormone production, typically related to aging. Unlike traditional hormone replacement therapies, BHRT uses hormones that are designed to mimic the human body’s natural hormone response. These hormones are custom-compounded based on a patient’s individual hormonal needs, as determined by laboratory testing and symptoms.

BHRT Pellet Therapy

We offer Biote pellet therapy for our BHRT patients. Biote pellets are formulated to meet each patient’s specific needs following comprehensive blood analysis. These small pellets are inserted just under the skin in a fast, in-office procedure. Once in place, Biote pellets release a calibrated stream of hormones until they dissolve naturally.

Benefits of BHRT

Each patient’s pellet therapy is customized to address their unique hormone needs and imbalances. Patients using BHRT can experience:

  • Faster weight loss
  • Improved mood
  • More energy
  • Increased sex drive
  • Clearer thinking
  • Better sleep

The Pellet Insertion Procedure

Biote pellets are inserted under the skin during a fast procedure conducted in our office. Your skin will be numbed before the procedure, then a cannula will be inserted through a very small incision and the pellet will be released. Adhesive strips will close the incision.

BHRT Recovery

You might feel tender at the site of your Biote pellet insertion for a couple of days after the procedure, and it is also common to experience mild redness and/or swelling. We ask that you refrain from strenuous activity for 5-7 days after Biote insertion. Our team will provide you with comprehensive post-procedure instructions before your pelleting.
