Before bariatric surgery I suffered from high cholesterol, high blood pressure, bone and joint pain, sleep apnea and other breathing issues, and migraines. Since surgery, and over 100lb weight loss, all my medical issues have improved and I was able to get off several medicines. Before bariatric surgery, I struggled to get up a flight of stairs or participate in my kids’ lives like I wanted. Now I’m able to bound up a flight of stairs and still have a conversation, and I am active without being embarrassed. I was able to enjoy Six Flags again with my kids without being scared I wouldn’t fit on a ride. Dr. Stowers and the Bariatric Experts give patients their lives back, and I am forever grateful!
I considered bariatric surgery for years before I did it. I was scared of complications and the cost. I encountered several friends who had great success who encouraged me to go for it. I also was facing some serious medical issues if I didn’t, so I made the decision and never looked back. I wish I had been able to make the choice sooner!

Since losing 115lbs, I can do so many things I couldn’t before. I can climb stairs with ease, play with my kids, shop with my daughter, but the greatest thing since losing weight is simply feeling like myself again.
