Before surgery I was so miserable. I could barely walk up stairs. I couldn’t play with my 5 year old like he wanted me to. I didn’t want to go to any of my older kids school functions because I was so embarrassed of the way I looked. I suffered with major depression(on 5 different medications) and I had high blood pressure. I had been considering weight loss surgery for several years. I kept putting it off because I would tell myself that’s cheating and the easy way out! I decided to go for it when I realized it’s not the easy way out, that this surgery could give me my life back. When my 5 year old looked at me and said “mommy I just want you to play with me and have fun”- I knew it was time! From the moment I walked in the door to the office I knew I made the right decision. I was greeted with a huge smile and I felt very welcomed. After meeting with the entire staff, I couldn’t wait to start my journey because I knew I had the best team by my side. I love being able to play with my son like he deserves. It’s the best feeling to be able to put on clothes and feel so good about yourself. I am off all my medications I was taking prior to surgery!
